HEART & SOLE DANCE GIVES BACK!

over 20 dancers become Holiday Elves at local Senior Centers

Part of our core philosophy is local philanthropy… giving back to our very own community.  On December 15th more than 20 dancers from Heart & Sole Dance will donate a day of their time to dance, perform, and visit with residents at four local senior centers.

The ‘Holiday Elves Performance Team’ will dance and visit with residents at each center for about one hour.  They will dance a special holiday routine they’ve dedicated 6 weeks to learning, and then they will socialize with, and dance with and for, the seniors, to several other holiday songs.

Our Performance Team instructor suggested that we do a special Holiday Elves routine and take it on a ‘give-back’ tour.  The response from our dancers was amazing.  Everyone is looking forward to a day of dancing for, and with, our local seniors” says owner Maren Oslac.

This is such a great opportunity.  My daughter and I are both doing the Team, which is meaningful in and of itself, plus we are doing something to make a difference in other’s lives. I love showing my daughter what’s really important through actions, not just talking. ” says Julia, one of the Holiday Elves from Tinley Park.

The Heart & Sole Dance’s Holiday Elves Team will be donating  their time on December 15th at the following locations:

  • 10:30-11:30 AM – Porter Place, Tinley Park
  • 12:00 -1:00 PM – Brementowne Manor, Tinley Park
  • 1:30-2:30 PM – Autumn Leaves, Orland Park
  • 3:00-4:00 PM – Bickford Senior Living, Tinley Park
