May Update from Maren – 4/29/20
Thank goodness technology has allowed us to continue to connect! Virtual lessons may not be ideal, and they are working. We are especially grateful you are tuning in and keeping your spirits up with dance!
As you know, Governor Pritzker has extended the Stay-At-Home order to the end of May. Our studio will remain closed for lessons until we have the green light from the state.
There is some good news, Heart & Sole Dance was able to get one of the elusive PPP loans! Our overhead is substantial, and the loan has guaranteed that the team will all be paid through April and May. YAY!
Between the PPP, negotiating with landlord, the availability of low interest loans, and you, our phenomenal customers, we will make it through to the other side of this pandemic.
In anticipation of that, we have been working out the details to allow us to open the moment we get the go ahead. Ideally, we will open on June 1st for private lessons, and as quickly thereafter for group classes. We will follow all of the guidelines to ensure the safety of both our team and clients.
We miss seeing you in person and are glad we at least get to see your smiling faces on Zoom. We will keep you updated and let you know as soon as we have a firm date.
If you have ANY questions, don’t hesitate to contact us. You can also jump on the Saturday studio chats and ask us there.
Thank you all for your support. You make my heart soar!
Hi Heart & Sole Dance Community,
We’re just checking in – hope you and your loved ones are doing well and staying healthy! We miss you all at the studio but we are absolutely loving being able to still connect with you via our live virtual classes. Following Illinois’ extended Stay-At-Home Order, the physical studio is temporarily closed until April 30th. However, the Heart & Sole Dance Team is still hard at work behind (and in front of) your screens during this time!
We are continuing to offer virtual, live, and interactive group classes and workshops 5 days a week via Zoom! Classes cover a wide range of levels, dances, classes, and workshops. Head over to our CALENDAR page to see everything we have in store for the coming month! To make our virtual group classes feasible for everyone, all of our April classes are “pay what you can”. We just want to keep dancing with you!
Visit our Virtual Group Classes page to see all the classes we’ll be offering in April and click “Register for April Classes”. This will direct you to our SHOP page where you can purchase your “Virtual Monthly Class Pass.” Then keep an eye on your inbox – one of our team members will send you an email with all the links to the virtual group classes for the month!
Dear Heart & Sole Dance Family,
As you’re aware, things are changing by the minute and that includes our classes!
We want you to be able to feel confident that you will benefit from attending our virtual classes and that you will continue to receive the same individualized attention you have come to expect from Heart & Sole Dance.
This is one of the reasons we have decided to offer ALL of our virtual group classes (via Zoom) in March FOR FREE! No commitment and no payment required – all you have to do is visit Virtual Group Classes and fill in the form provided.
Please feel free to reach out to the studio by phone (708.532.6237) or e-mail if you have any questions at all!

Dear Heart & Sole Dance Family,
The Heart & Sole Dance Team has been staying informed on the COVID-19 outbreak and complying with advisories from the CDC. As always, the health and safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
Due to new regulations, as of tomorrow Tuesday, March 17th, operations at Heart & Sole Dance will be changing in the following ways:
VIRTUAL GROUP CLASSES – ALL group classes will be offered virtually until further notice. For anyone who is currently on a Dance Addicts Pass this month or purchased a 30 Days for $30 Pass – you will be automatically enrolled in the virtual group classes for the month of March and April. Please keep an eye on your inbox for individual group class links via Zoom.
Virtual classes will be hosted by your regular Heart & Sole Dance instructor. Note: group class times have shifted to be held live on the hour and will be recorded and available to be viewed at your leisure. Refer to our calendar for exact class times. Please bear with us as we transition to this new class format – we have always hoped to offer virtual classes on a regular basis, it’s just being put into action sooner than we anticipated!
Not already enrolled? Click HERE to purchase your month pass to our virtual group classes via Zoom (only $30 for ALL virtual classes offered in March AND April). You will receive individual links to each group class via email.
PRIVATE LESSONS ONGOING – All private lessons will still be held at the studio until further notice.
VIRTUAL PRIVATE LESSONS – Although we are still having private lessons in-studio, we are offering the option to do your private lessons virtually from the comfort of your home. Interested? Let us know and we’d be happy to get you scheduled with your regular instructor via Zoom.
NO COUNTRY DANCE – Our Country Dance on Friday, March 27th has been cancelled.
GOING STIR-CRAZY? We can help! We are offering our regular 30-Minute Lesson & Learn Appointments for new students that want to try out dancing in a one-on-one setting for FREE…virtually! Feel free to send us an email or give us a call (708.532.6237) to get scheduled!
How To Reach Us During This Time
PHONE – We are still available by phone (708.532.6237) and will continue to be during regular business hours. If the studio should close, all phone calls will be forwarded to a team member.
E-MAIL – We will continue to be available by email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
IN-STUDIO – At this time, our doors are still open (limited hours) for private lessons. Want to talk to someone face-to-face? Give us a call (708.532.6237) before you head over to make sure we’re at the studio to chat.
As most of you can understand, our future schedule is uncertain right now but we will keep you updated with any changes at the studio.
Grateful to be dancing with you, now and in the future. Stay safe and healthy!
